Cafe Sci event

On Monday 24th June there is an exciting opportunity to hear from John Box, an ecologist and previous environmental manager who will be coming to William Brookes School to host our next Café Sci event. With over 40 years’ experience in his field and previously working for Sydney University and Natural England, this will be an exciting evening as John delves into the scientific importance of Windmill Hill next to William Brookes and how the rich plant species and orchids located there may just mean it is one of the most scientifically significant grasslands in the whole of Shropshire.  John will be coming to William Brookes to talk to both the public and pupils with an interest in the subject.

Café Sci is a programme of events and talks throughout the year where we invite scientists from all different backgrounds of science to give a talk on how they are innovating their field. Our aim is to develop an informal atmosphere where people are free to ask questions, possibly take part in interactive activities and the biggest aim of all... To Have Some Fun!

£1 on the door, including refreshments.

His speech will be on:
