Students and facilities at William Brookes School in Much Wenlock, Shropshire

School Closure Friday 8th January 2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

In light of the weather forecast and warnings for snow that have been issued, we have made the difficult decision to close school tomorrow (Friday 8th January 2021) for the Vulnerable and Key Worker students.

We appreciate that this may have implications regarding childcare but feel it better to make the decision early to allow you time to make alternative arrangements, rather than a late call tomorrow morning.

All students will still be able to access live or pre-recorded lessons tomorrow as all teachers will be working from home.

For those Sixth Form students who were due to sit an exam tomorrow afternoon we are planning try and run the exam in the afternoon if conditions allow. Mrs Hennessy will run the revision session online at 09.00 and will inform students of the final decision during the session.

We fully anticipate that we will be back open on Monday for these groups of students.
