As a school we pride ourselves in providing a fully rounded education for our students by creating opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and prepare them for life. We recognise that engaging with the local and wider community plays an important role in this, such as working with local businesses to support and enhance student learning through ‘real world’ experiences. We support local events, provide our facilities to local residents and associations on a lettings basis and encourage local people to visit the school for sporting, performing arts and educational events.
We have a thriving performing Arts department which offers a vast array of different clubs and activities tailored to a breadth of different tastes and age ranges.
Through the huge selection of sports clubs to choose from as well as having state of the art sporting facilities open to the community ensures there is something for everyone and demonstrates our commitment to being at the heart of Much Wenlock community.
At the heart of the Friends of William Brookes Committee is the desire to bring local people together and develop a sense of community through charity fund raising events and celebrations.
